PCYC Newcastle runs boxing programs and classes to keep our community members fit and active. With classes for children, teenagers, and adults, our club provides everyone with the opportunity to take up this exciting sport.
Our Junior Boxing class is designed for 7 to 15-year-old students who want to learn proper boxing technique and work on their overall fitness. In this class, participants will work on fundamental boxing skills and gain an introduction to sparring. It’s a fun way for kids to engage with physical activity and make new friends.
Older boxers (aged 15 and up) are welcome to join our Senior Boxing class. Here, participants will work on their strength, agility, and coordination and improve their boxing skills. This class uses bags, pads, and sparring to give students well-rounded boxing lessons and get them comfortable in various settings.
PCYC Newcastle also offers fitness classes that incorporate boxing moves. Both our Kickboxing and Boxing for Fitness sessions provide excellent and fast-paced cardio workouts along with elements of boxing. These classes are open to club members over the age of 16.
