Young adults interested in boxing are encouraged to join one of the many boxing classes at PCYC City of Sydney. Held at our Woolloomooloo gym, PCYC’s boxing classes are an excellent way to stay fit, make friends, and get active within the community.
Children from ages 8 to 11 can join our Junior Boxing Class. In these sessions, kids will receive an introduction to boxing and learn the fundamentals of the sport. At the same time, they’ll also work on their confidence, discipline, and motivation. Once they’ve mastered the basics and feel ready for their next challenge, they will be invited to the Junior Squad Team.
As the next step, young adults between the ages of 12 and 21 can participate in PCYC City of Sydney’s Squad Boxing program. In these sessions, boxers will work from an individualised training plan to improve their skills and compete against others.
Our club also offers girls-only boxing sessions called Girls Boxing. As part of this program, we work with at-risk young women who want to re-engage in the community. Girls Boxing sessions include boxing training, mentoring, and food.
