Has your child or teenager expressed an interest in learning how to skateboard? With a skateboarding class at PCYC NSW, they can learn how to skateboard in a safe and fun environment.
At PCYC, kids of all ages can join one of our skateboarding classes. During class, they will learn the fundamentals of skateboarding, including how to position their feet, maintain balance, and push themselves on the board.
As they master the basics, they will attempt more advanced maneuvers, like performing tricks and skating on ramps. Some PCYC clubs have indoor skate parks, where your child can use the facility’s ramps and bowls to practice their new skills.
Not only is skateboarding a fun way to stay active, but it’s also great for kids to build their confidence and self-esteem. As they put in the hard work to improve their skills, they’ll feel a sense of pride as they get better on their board. Plus, kids in PCYC skateboarding classes will get to socialise and make new friends with others that also enjoy skateboarding.
All of our skateboarding classes are supervised by experienced PCYC staff, who will teach your little one how to safely and properly ride their board.
With more than 65 clubs and centres, PCYC New South Wales is one of the leading youth organisations in Australia. Our youth programs and activities encourage kids and teenagers to become active in their communities.
Facilities vary club to club. PCYC Cessnock for example, features a 700sqm indoor skate park consisting of a skate bowl with escalator and hip, large mini ramp sections with a variety of curves and transition sizes!
